•Develop an understanding of how Visual Systems can be used to as part of structured learning
•Understand what Visual systems are, how they can be established and used in the classroom to support independence
•Look at sample Visual systems
•Understand how to access to tools and resources to create Visual Systems e.g. Widgit Areas Covered:
Day 2

•Using Task Boxes as part of structured learning
•Establishing a Task Box System in the classroom
•Promoting independence •Generalising the skills
Course Outcomes:
•Develop an understanding structured learning and the importance of independence
•Develop an understanding of how Task Boxes can be used to as part of structured learning
•Understand what Task Boxes are, their origins and how they can be established and used in the classroom to support independence
• Look at and evaluate sample Task Boxes
•Plan personalised Task Boxes for students
