Supporting children with dyslexia in the mainstream classroom and in small group settings 08/05/18
Tuesday 8th May 2018, full day 9am-4pm

Who is it for:

Teaching assistants at Key Stage 1, Key Stage 2, Key Stage 3


Areas Covered:

• Definition of dyslexia.

• Range of difficulties associated with dyslexia.

• Specific activities to improve developmental skills in reading, spelling and writing.

 Course Outcomes:

• Increased understanding of dyslexia.

• Knowledge of a range of effective strategies to address the impact of specific learning difficulties.

• Increased confidence and skills of learning support assistants in supporting pupils with SpLD.

Dates: 8 May 2018

 Duration: Full day, 9am-4pm

 Fee: £120 per delegate from Leicester City Council maintained schools.

£150 charge per delegate from non-maintained schools.
