An Introduction To Down’s Syndrome – In The Early Years

Who is it for:

Early years teachers and teaching assistants

 

Areas Covered:

  • This course develops practitioners’ knowledge of thestrengths and needs of children who have Down’s Syndrome and provides strategies to support effective learning.

 Course Outcomes:

  • Gain an overview of Down’sSyndrome.
  • Understand that there is a specific profile of strengths and difficulties inherent in Down’sSyndrome.
  • Learn strategies to support children with Down’s Syndrome.
  • Reflect on and review their practice with colleagues and identify areas for development

Dates: Thursday 14 November 2019 or Thursday 11 June 2020

Duration: Full day, 09:30 – 15:30

Fee: £150 per delegate.  All centrally run full day courses include a buffet lunch.
