An Introduction to Down’s Syndrome – In The Early Years

Early years teachers and teaching assistants.

 

Areas Covered:

  • This course develops practitioners’ knowledge of the strengths and needs of children who have Down’s Syndrome and provides strategies to support effective learning.

 

Course Outcomes:

  • Gain an overview of Down’sSyndrome.
  • Understandthatthereisaspecificprofileofstrengthsand difficulties inherent in Down’sSyndrome.
  • Learn strategies to support children withDown’s Syndrome.
  • Reflect on and review their practice with colleaguesand identify areas fordevelopment.
