Understanding and Supporting Young Children who have Challenging Behaviour

Areas Covered: -

  • This course develops practitioners’ understanding of what is meant by challenging behaviour and considers factors thatcan have an impact on earlydevelopment.
  • It considers a number of models that have been developed as ameanstounderstanding,supportingandmanagingchallenging behaviours.


Course Outcomes: -

  • Acquire knowledge of the attachment process andunderstand howearlytraumacanhaveanimpactonthis.
  • Consider several different behaviour models and explore how these can be helpful in understanding behaviour anddeveloping strategies to manageit.
  • KnowhowtowriteandimplementaPositiveBehaviourPlan.
  • Reflect on and review their own practice and identifyareas fordevelopment.

Our preference is for face to face training but we will be following Public health advice at the time of delivery.This will be confirmed at a later date
